Barcelona looking to sign Manchester City’s Spanish forward David Silva
Reports have it that another man from Manchester City, other than their skipper Carlos Tevez has caught the eye of the Catalans.
The cards in play show just the similarities and preferences from the previous choice as the Spanish giants choose another person from Spain. This time it is the Spanish international David Silva.
The player earlier used to play for Valencia but as the La Liga club was in desperate need of money it was forced to sell their star “Davids” pair. In the proceeding of the matter Valencia sold off David Villa to Barcelona and
David Silva eventually landed with the money loaded English Club owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan.
However though Silva has arrived in Manchester, he has been used very carefully in the English Premier League fixtures being deemed too fragile to play in the League.
Now men from Nou Camp have stated that they are willing to bring on a gigantic bid for the player if the star wants to return back to home land. With the January transfer window approaching fast it is expected that there might
be some progress about Tevez and Silva near to the start of the winters.
The bid might be impudent but it can be said that Barcelona can afford to be it that way even literally as the earlier debts of the club have been cleared and they are once again on the road to acquire what they want from the window.
Earlier in the summers, Eastlands paid 29 million pounds for the services of Silva however one is forced to ponder if that was a wise choice as the manager of Manchester City has constantly been replacing him while using the depth
of his current squad.
Reports have concluded that Blaugrana have already prepared a deal for the player and they are just waiting to contact the official part and engage into negotiations. This will yet again be a massive move as not only will one of
the most talented players from English Premier League be leaving but he will also be arriving at the star studded Camp Nou where players are forced to leave because of the talent already residing in the club.
The 24 year old midfielder who can also play as an attacking midfielder has scored just once since he has arrived at the blue part of Manchester City. The goal he scored was against novice team, Red Bull Salzburg from the Europa
League.
The world class player has completed just 2 of the 12 matches he has been a part of and as more talent emerges from Eastland ranks it is assumed that he will be clocking lesser time on field.
Back in the summer when City were just looking forward to sign Silva, Barcelona had already contacted the player. However, as they planned to introduce the “Davids” phenomenon at Nou Camp, their efforts turned to futility.
It is speculated that earlier negotiations fell apart as Barcelona were unwilling to pay the price demanded. They as a matter of fact had already made the biggest signing of summers and were in debts amounting to 600 million pounds
so they definitely were at the steep side of the rock.
Silva played 76 minutes in Spain’s Euro 2012 qualifier as Scotland got defeated 3-2. At Hampden Park, Silva clearly showed lack form which was the result of his substitution.
