Barcelona looking to swoop in for Cesc Fabregas once again
Barcelona are reportedly preparing a new and improved bid for Arsenal's captain Cesc Fabregas. The team seems more than confident that they will be able to land their man this time around. Fabregas is no new face to the Catalan
club, as he played at the Nou Camp during his youth days. However, Arsenal landed the player after Arsene Wenger spotted his exceptional talent at the grass root levels.
Barcelona last attempted to sign the player, this past summer, when they went in with a thirty two million pound bid for the Spanish World Cup winning midfielder. However, Arsenal bluntly turned down the Spanish club back then.
It now seems like Pep Guardiola has once again placed Fabregas at the top of his priority list and is going to be looking to make a bid of around forty five million pounds for the player, once the season ends.
Last time around, the Fabregas – Barcelona saga was one of the most talked about things apart from the World Cup itself. This was because Barcelona seemed intent on landing their man and Fabregas never made it quite clear as to
whether he was staying or going. However, with no one making it quite clear as to what was going to happen, Wenger stepped in and stated that team would not let go off their captain under any circumstance.
This time around, Barcelona seem to feel that they will land their man, no question asked. This is mainly due to the fact that Arsenal have not managed to win any titles over the course of the last five years and the way things
are going this season, the team might just make it six years without a title. Nonetheless, all of that is subject to the fact that Arsenal did not win any trophies this season. If the team manage to win a cup, no matter which one, then it might play a vital
role in convincing the player to stay at the Emirates.
Arsenal have also been drawn up against Barcelona in the Champions League and if the team manage to go ahead and beat the tournament favourites, the they might just have a very good chance of shutting the constant mumblings up
from the Spanish club, once and for all. That being said, it is not going to be an easy task for the team to do that as Barcelona have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with and managed to go ahead and beat Arsenal in the Champions League on two
occasions in the past, with one of those wins being in the Champions league finals.
Nonetheless, Wenger will be looking to try to even things out this time around and it is safe to say that he will be looking to Fabregas to provide the cutting edge against the team he played for as a kid. He will also be hoping
that the trip that Arsenal make to the Camp Nou, is the only time that Fabregas has to step foot onto the grounds of the Spanish outfit.
With the summer transfer window, set to open quite some time from now, it is going to be a long wait to see how this deal plays out. It will also be interesting to watch and see if Arsenal manage to overcome the odds and win a
title or two this time around, otherwise it is safe to say that Fabregas will be returning to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 on a permanent basis at the turn of the year.
