Barcelona want to reinforce their attacking ranks further in the form of Parma’s Sebastian Giovinco. The Italian international completed his best season in the colours of his adopted club, hitting the back of the net 15 times in Serie A while laying down
numerous assists for his teammates.

The famed product of Juventus youth academy has pleased fans since arriving at the Ennio Tardini two years ago, impressing onlookers with his exploits in the final third.

Barcelona’s interest in the pint sized attacker is not a hidden one, with La Blaugrana scouts seen in plain view looking at his with wide eyes and making reports.

The Catalan club want to ease the pressure off Lionel Messi and hold Giovinco in high regard. With the rigours of the season behind them, the Camp Nou-based outfit have taken the initial steps to sign him on a permanent basis.

Giovinco’s agent, Andrea D'Amico, claimed that Barcelona have made an offer for his client and they will give it a thought. However, he added that the Catalonia based outfit are not the only suitors for the creative Italian attacker with a host of other
clubs also interested in him.

D’Amico stated that Giovinco will not go to the highest bidder or the team with the biggest profile, but where he is given a definitive and important role in first team affairs.

He added that money is not an important for the attacker and they will give precedence to the sporting project in place.

"He will go to a club who will make him feel important and where he can have the chance to show his quality. He has received a lot of offers, from Italy and abroad, including a recent one from Barcelona," he said while talking to Radio Mana Mana.

"At the age of 25, he is at his peak, right now the sporting project is more important than the salary. His future? It is too soon, it will be decided after the Euros."
