Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola labels Lionel Messi as the best player ever – La Liga News
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 as the best player he has ever seen. The manager made these comments after the brilliant performances that he put in all season long and due to the way the
player helped destroy Manchester United, in the UEFA Champions League final.
During the proceedings of the game, Messi went on to score his fifty third goal of the season, which saw him go level with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 on number of goals scored this season. However, that goal from Messi proved to be crucial, as Barcelona went on to
crush the Red Devils by a score-line of three goals to one and in doing so, took home the Champions League trophy.
When talking about Messi, a rather humble Guardiola is quoted to have said: "Lionel is the best player I've ever seen, probably the best ever. He made the difference.
"Messi is unique, a one-off. I just hope he doesn't get fed up. When he doesn't play well it is because something is wrong with his environment. Let's hope he can continue playing well."
The manager then went on to address the issue regarding his future at the club. Being rumoured to be on his way out of the Camp Nou following his win in the Champions League trophy, Guardiola was being tipped to have won his last trophy with the club.
Nonetheless, it seems like that is not the case. The manager when asked about his future, is reported to have responded by stating: "I will say it again, I have another year on my contract and I intend to work it out.
"You have girls falling at your feet when you win but that can change overnight but I have to look inside of me. I am happy to be here as coach of these guys but it is not an easy http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684."
Just looking at Messi’s statistics, leads us to see how prolific the attacker has been this season. In the 55 appearances that he made for Barcelona this season, he went on to score 53 goals, while picking up 24 goals along the way. Those numbers, are quite
possibly the most impressive to be recorded in recent history and should the player go on to improve those figures next season, it would be impossible for the Catalans, to not be as successful as they have been this term.
It is going to be no easy task for Messi to better himself, but, if anyone can help the player achieve that feat, it is going to be Guardiola, who has now guaranteed his stay at the Camp Nou – for at least another season.
