Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola labels Manchester United to be like Real Madrid ahead of the teams clash in the UEFA Champions League final
Barcelona’s manager, Pep Guardiola has gone on to compare Manchester United to arch rivals Real Madrid, ahead of both the teams encounter in the UEFA Champions League final at Wembley on the 28th of May.
Having already won their domestic league with games to spare, the Catalans have been setting all their focus on the European competition, as they look to add to their overflowing trophy cabinet.
The encounter between the two sides will be a replay of the 2009 final, which took place between the two teams. At the same time http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 would be hoping that the result is also a repeat of 2009. This is because, when the teams met two years ago, the Catalans
went on to dominate the game and edge past the Red Devils via a score-line of two goals to nil.
Nonetheless, Guardiola seems to be in no mood of showing any optimism as he is reported to have said:"Manchester United are extraordinarily strong, very similar to Real Madrid"
"They are a hard-working side and it's very hard to hurt them."
The manager then went on to admit to the threat that the team possess on the counter and added: "We have to be very careful because they can score against you on the break"
"We have to know how to interpret the final, depending on how they play, and play the game on our terms."
The manager seems to already be looking to start the mind games with United. However, what he seems to fail to remember is the fact that when it comes to getting the better of your opponents in front of the media no one does it any better than http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson.
However, at the same time, the manager seems to have already gotten down to penning a game plan for the game. Should Barcelona be able to contain United’s counter attacks and continue to play their free flowing passing game, then they are more than likely
to emerge victorious in the game.
At the same time, should the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Valencia-c6345 start to play their free-flowing attacking football, then Barcelona could find it impossible to get anything on the Red Devils.
At the moment, there are no clear-cut favourites going into the match, since both the teams have gone on to secure their domestic leagues and are looking to be just as strong and competent as the other.
