Barcelona's mid-fielder Andres Iniesta dreams of the Champions League final at Wembley
Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has stated that he is eager to play the UEFA Champions League final at Wembley. He claimed that Barcelona are determined to down their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, in the semi-final showdown and reach
the final in London.
Barcelona will take on Real Madrid in the first-leg of the last four clash of the Champions League at Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday, April 27. The clash will be the third between the two sides. The two clubs had earlier met in the
Spanish La Liga and the Copa del Rey final, which Los Blancos won in extra-time.
Iniesta insisted that he is already dreaming of the final in Wembley and the side is ready for the clash with their Spanish counterparts in the semis. He added that the Catalans will try to score some crucial away-goals and put pressure
on Jose Mourinho’s side considering the return leg is at Camp Nou.
“I am dreaming of going out there at Wembley. We must think only of going over (to Madrid for Wednesday's first leg) and scoring some goals and then in the return our fans will drive us on to Wembley.” the mid-fielder was quoted as
saying.
The Spaniard claimed that two titles this season would be an amazing feat for the defending champions, referring to the League title and the Champions League. He insisted that his team will not sit back and play their natural game
against Madrid and try to score some important away goals to get the advantage.
“We have to fight to the finish. We must concentrate on our own game, try to keep it tight at the back and attack well to try to get the win, score some goals to ensure the first leg leaves us with an advantage. Every match is different
- this one will be too, as will the second leg. Our intention is to go out and win - that's the only way we know how,” the Spaniard concluded.
The World Cup winning star added that every match is different and the clashes at Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou will be two different ones. The 26-year old mid-fielder has scored 32 goals in a total of 358 appearances for the Catalan
giants.
