Barcelona midfielder Pedro Rodriguez believes his team is hungry to win more trophies – La Liga news
Barcelona midfielder Pedro Rodriguez has said that his club is full of ambitions and they are still hungry to win more trophies.
Barcelona are still in contention to win all three major trophies and repeat their treble winning season of 2008-09.
The Spanish champions are on top of the La Liga League table with a five-point lead over second placed Real Madrid. They are playing the final of the Copa del Rey against the Los Blancos and have progressed to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League
as well where they will face Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk over the two legs.
Despite being considered by many as a complete team, Pedro believes that there are some areas which need to be worked upon. The 23-year-old believes that many teams play defensively against them and they need to overcome these tactics.
“You can always improve with the team. There are tactical things, then your finishing in front of goal, speed as well. We are very ambitious as a team, we want to win trophies and we want to continue our development. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 played a very good match defensively
[in last year's Champions League semi-final], with many players behind the ball, and it's difficult to deal with the [limited] space you have,” said Pedro.
He added, “There have also been matches this season where we've had to deal with this. We have to overcome that system, use the space well and play the ball around quickly. We must try to learn from these games, because in the future we'll have many teams
playing like that against us.”
Pedro also praised Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola as a brilliant coach who has complete understanding of the game. The winger said that he is the best possible man to manage the Catalans because he knows the club quite well. He feels that Guardiola has
