Osasuna coach, Jose Luis Mendilibar, was clearly upset after the cup tie, lamenting the turn change at Camp Nou and the issue of ‘Messi in, Messi out’ before the match.

He explained that Messi already participated in a couple of training sessions with the first team squad that allowed him to make the bench. However, he praised the physical fitness of the diminutive attacker, stating that he is a physical
wonder.
Busquets pointed towards the years of service his teammate has given in Catalonia, rarely missing a match for La Blaugrana.
“He is a physical wonder. Throughout the years (Messi) played almost every minute. In the morning (he was) not feeling well but then felt better and was able to play," he said.
Analyzing the match, the holding midfielder was happy with Barcelona’s performance on the night. However, he warned that the return leg will be difficult. He added that they are well prepared for the fixture, and cannot relax until progression
to the next round is secured.
"What matters is what happens on the pitch. We had a good game against Osasuna is doing a good season. Copa's return will be difficult," the Spaniard stated.
"We have enough experience but we cannot trust Osasuna. We have a good result, but in Pamplona in a Cup match anything can go. We must go to win."
Nevertheless, the 23-year-old was not entirely dismissive of Jose Luis Mendilibar and accepted that the new turf is alright.
Busquets added that the pitch has improved and will continue to do so over the coming days before reaching its peak condition.
"The grass has improved significantly. It is true about it but it has improved markedly in recent days. As the days move, it will improve in conditioning," the Spanish international stated.
