  1. Between those two: Barcelona.

  2. i would go with barcelona.the spanish capitol is just too crowed and is fille with african and hispanic prostitute but you might be into that kind of thing.

  3. Hi, well I am not so sure about what you mean by best, and also Barcelona and Madrid exclude many other nice cities in Spain.

I prefer Madrid, not only because its my home town, I do like and ejoy very much Barcelona, but recently Barcelona has had some changes that is making it much more dull.

They just passed a law to regulate civic behaviour and many of the things which made it a Fun City, besides beautiful, make it almost impossible to have fun without doing something ilegal.

Not that some spanish as myself care very much about certain lawas, since our people believe in certain type of civil disobedience Spanish style - thanks to which we do not follow strictly many laws if we believe them unreasonable, but besides the point, the actual law you can not sleep in the stree, park or stations, you can not drink in the street, you can not make noise at nigh, prostitutes have been banned and many intolearnt measures have been promoted so any type of "uncivic behabiour", where civism is defined by the rightist party that governs Catalunya, and in my opinion is a quite fascist definition of what civic means. Hence why today I would not doubt choose Madrid between both. However Barcelona, as well, as many cities in Spain is very beautiful and is worth visiting.

There is an extra difficulty added which is the language. In Barcelona they speak Catalan language, and although they speak and understand perfectly spanish and many do English too, many of the catalans are resiliant to speak but their language just to make some point that personally I do not get. But each one to its own.

You will have fun anyway probably in any of them. However if you are young and like wild partying do not go now to Barcelona, you might find yourself thrown in jail or fined, large fines, for almost anything the fascists consider "uncivic behaviour".

Still I am almost sure that many catalans dislike this law, and resist it yet I am not sure how decided are the "authorities to enforce it" and the Catalans in general to resist it. Today the nationalists seem to believe that bad things, i.e. laws, people, traditions etc. - if Catalan - then they are OK and I have a bit of trouble with that.

    Have fun

  4. Barcelona

  5. I have been to both and I have to say that I had more fun in Barcelona. I felt that Barcelona is friendlier and there was more to do but that's just my opinion. Both are great places though. Have fun!!!

  6. Barcelona for sure!  It's one of the best cities in Europe, really diverse, there's something for everyone.  But whatever you do, which ever you choose make sure you go to either the Camp Neu (FC Barcelona) or the Bernebau (Real Madrid), whether you're a football fan or not, it will be the highlight of your trip
