How have the organisers of the Barcelona Open reacted to Rafael Nadal’s decision to withdraw from the tournament this year?

Obviously it’s a blow to the tournament to lose its biggest star but Albert Costa, the director of the Barcelona Open, has stated that: ““We wish Rafa the best of luck. We know that this has been a difficult decision for him to take. A player also has to know when to listen to his body. But the tournament has only just begun and we have a week of the best tennis ahead of us. Rafa’s withdrawal is a pity but the tournament will go on and will continue strongly and with a great draw.”
