The Barcelona president, Sandro Rosell, has stated recently that club coach, Tito Vilanova, will make a return to his duties in 2-3 week’s time

The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 coach was treated for the same illness almost 12 months back, at the time when he was acting as an assistant manager to Pep Guardiola.
Vilanova reportedly had a cancerous growth in his parotid gland and the tumour was seen as malignant. The disease was treated for and the manager under-went a surgery at that time.
Only a few weeks back, the Catalan club were delivered another blow as Vilanova was again believed to have encountered the same sort of problem.
The Barcelona manager was treated again and ad to go under the knife again for another surgery.
The club’s board had announced that the surgery had all gone according to plans and Vilanova will shortly be resuming his duties at the club.
Back at that time no date was specified but now the club’s board have stated via President Sandro Rosell that their manager will be off and running again with his responsibilities in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
The news will be a very encouraging one for all the people associated to the club and will be a great boost to the team.
“Within two or three weeks he will be back, but he must go to the hospital and have a few day’s rest. He will mix the treatment with work. The important thing is his health, currently, football is secondary.”
Rosell also talked about the importance of veteran’s Xavi and Puyol.

Barcelona have done brilliantly under the management of coach Tito Vilanova and are currently top of La Liga charts with a 9 point lead over 2nd placed Atletico Madrid.
