Barcelona star Xavi Hernandes is all praise for Paul Scholes
Barcelona’s Xavi Hernandez has heaped praise on Manchester United veteran http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 and termed him the ‘best midfielder he has even seen’.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 midfielder said that the Manchester United legend has everything that a central midfielder must have. The Catalan said that he has admired the mid-fielder from the time he started playing football and regards him as the best in the business.
“In the last 15 to 20 years the best central midfielder that I have seen - the most complete - is Scholes. I have spoken with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xabi-Alonso-c37045 about this many times. Scholes is a spectacular player who has everything,” he said in an interview.
The Barcelona play maker said that Scholes has been under-rated throughout his career and would have been valued more had he been in Spain.
He also said that he would have loved to be a part of the 1990s Manchester United team playing alongside Roy Keane and Paul Ince.

He has played against Scholes a couple of times in the Champions League and witnessed the veteran’s brilliance in the 2007/2008 Champions League semi-final, where he scored the only goal in a 1–0 victory that sent United into the final.
“He can play the final pass, he can score, he is strong, he never gets knocked off the ball and he doesn't give possession away. If he had been Spanish then maybe he would have been valued more,” Xavi said.
