Barcelona threaten to report Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho to UEFA
Barcelona are currently in the process of potentially going on to report Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho to (Union of European Football Associations) UEFA. The reason for this potential reporting of the manager is because of the fact that following Madrid’s
two goals to nil loss at the hands of the Catalans last night, the Portuguese manager went on to make some rather suggestive comments about his opponents. These comments mainly stated that Barcelona were yet to win a clean UEFA Champions League title under
Pep Guardiola and basically have now cheated their way to the finals this season.
Mourinho’s disapproval for the Catalans and their tactics started near the 60th minute mark, when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dani-Alves-c9869, the defending midfielder caught the full-back
with his studs, which was followed by Alves making a meal of the challenge and the referee being surrounded by the Barca squad. The German referee, Wolfgang Stark then reached for his pockets and gave the Portuguese international a red card. However that was
not all as Mourinho went on to sarcastically show his disapproval to the fourth official, which resulted in the manger being booted from the side-lines and into the stands.
Following the game, Mourinho is quoted to have said, "Guardiola is a fantastic coach, but he has won one Champions League which I would be ashamed to win after the scandal at Stamford Bridge and this year, if he wins it again, it will be after the scandal
at the Bernabeu. He went on further to say, "I hope that one day he will win a clean Champions League, with no incidents behind it."
When Mourinho mentions Stamford Bridge, he is referring to the Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in 2009. The second-leg saw Andres Iniesta score a very late goal, which tied things up in the game. However the Catalans got through
to the finals on away goals. However during the match, the official on the night, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-c35214 Ovrebo, went on to wave away at least four legitimate penalty decisions from Chelsea and as a result, potentially helped Barca get into the finals that year. The Spanish
team then went on to face Manchester United in the final of the tournament, whom they beat by a score line of two goals to nil.
Mourinho then went on to end by claiming that he still didn’t know why things worked in favour of Barcelona, the way they did, but he seemed to have his mind set and he went on to state, "I don't understand why. I don't know if it's the publicity of UNICEF
(the club's shirt sponsor), I don't know if it's the friendship of (Spanish football federation president Angel Maria) Villar at UEFA, where he is vice-president, I don't know if it's because they are very nice, but they have got this power. The rest of us
have no chance.”
The special one has asked a question that he does not expects an answer to but hopes to have one in the future.
