Barcelona to make offer for Arsenal's Brazilian midfielder Denilson
Barcelona are reportedly looking to make a substantial bid for out-of-favour Arsenal midfielder, Denilson. The Spanish giants are willing to move in and spend as much as 10 million pounds on the player, in the hopes of strengthening their midfield for the
future.
Barcelona has recently signed a shirt sponsorship deal worth 140 million pounds with non-profit organization, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Foundation. As a result the club has now been linked with a number of players, who could potentially be brought into the team as early as
January. With almost every player in the world looking to be linked with the team, it is a surprise that they have chosen Denilson as one of their main targets. However it has been reported that the sporting director at Barcelona has been compiling a list
of potential transfer targets, which includes Denilson.
While this news may come as a shock to most, Barcelona have been linked with the player on a number of occasions in the past. That along with the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463 has stepped in and taken over as Arsenal’s second choice holding midfielder, has fuelled
the speculation further.
It has been reported that Barcelona see Denilson as a complete player, who is very good when he is in possession of the ball. On the other hand, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has gone on to criticize the midfielder for losing the ball far too easily in the
past, and added that the player still has a lot of work to do before he can break into the first team.
Denilson, who was supposed to be the next big thing at Arsenal, has fallen short of those expectations. He form has been patchy during his short career with the Gunners, which has seen him being voted as one of the best and worst players at the club. These
mixed responses from the fans have now left Denilson feeling rather confused about his future at the club, and the player is reported to have said, “I have a lot of feeling for Arsenal and I’ve been here since 2006. The thought of breathing new air – as I’m
still very young – can’t be ruled out, but nothing is concrete.”
All the signs seem to suggest that the player might potentially be on his way to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 sometime soon, however it wouldn’t be shocking to see Barcelona move in for him as soon as January, even though the player being cup-tied. This is because the team will
not be willing to risk waiting until the summer, because a lot can happen in six months and they are rather convinced that the player might manage to regain his form by then, which would result in Arsenal not wanting to part ways.
According to most experts a move for Denilson might just help reignite the Brazilian’s career. There is now a wait until the January transfer window to see if Barcelona decide to go in and make the swoop, or if they are willing to risk it all and wait another
six months.
