Barcelona vs. Real Madrid – Super Copa – Match Review (Part 2)
As the match kicked off at the Nou Camp, Barcelona were the favourites to win the two legged tie. Mourinho’s men were able to impress throughout the first leg but with the Catalans having a two away goals advantage, the two legged tie was in Barcelona’s
favour.
The second leg was won 3-2 Barcelona as Lionel Messi scored a brace and ended the Super Copa final 5-4 on aggregate. The match was quite thrilling and ended up in a brawl but at the end of the day, Barcelona left the pitch as Super Copa Champions.
Real Madrid approached the game in the same way, making it difficult for the Spanish Champions to move the ball around. Barcelona, on the other hand, were quite direct in their approach as they tried to play long balls forward in order to make it to the
opposition penalty area.
Most of the game was being played in Barcelona’s half with the Catalans trying to pass their way through the Real Madrid players. Los Blancos were pressing high up the pitch so that the Catalans cannot have the possession for a long time.
The first blood was drawn by Barcelona. It was during the 15th minute when Lionel Messi gave a perfect through ball to Andres Iniesta. The Spaniard timed his run and went clear on goal. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Iker-Casillas-c16815 came forward to make himself bigger but Andres
Iniesta easily scooped the ball over him and found the back of the net.
Despite dominating the game for the first few minutes, Real Madrid were still a goal down within fourteen minutes of the first half. However, an equalizer came soon.

Real Madrid were back on track but with a 1-1 score line, Barcelona would still win the Super Copa. Real Madrid had to pressure further up the pitch in order to convert the tie in their favour.

ball as it managed to hit the cross bar rather than finding the back of the net.
