Pedro Rodriguez is famous for finding the back of the net in most of the difficult fixtures; however, he couldn’t score in this game. He was instrumental on the left flank and worked tirelessly as he tried to retain the ball whenever the opposition had it.
He showed why he is Josep Guardiola’s first choice winger. He linked up well with the rest of the team; however, he was not as threatening as the other two strikers in the final third. However, his passes were inch perfect and they it was rare that he couldn’t
pass the ball to the right person.
Alexis Sanchez – 7.5
The former Udinese star who made way to the Nou Camp finally opened his goal scoring account. It was a pass from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888 Alcantara which found him making a run forward from the right flank. He easily slotted the ball home to make the score line 3-0 at the
start of the second half.
Despite scoring a goal, he was not as phenomenal as the other strikers. However, his work rate was simply phenomenal. He always dropped back from the right flank to help his side in defending. His body play was extraordinary and he showed what he is capable
of as he completed most of his dribbles and got past the Villarreal defence line.
He lacked the same team chemistry which all the other Barcelona stars had amongst them. He was often found alone in the right wing position. However, it was still a solid performance by the newly signed winger.

It was yet another brilliant performance by the Argentinean maestro. An assist and two goals simply sum up his day at the Nou Camp. Not only was he instrumental in the final third, he fell back and acted as a “false nine” to add a fifth man into the Barcelona
midfield.
Lionel Messi’s pass to Cesc Fabregas helped Barcelona double their lead. Later, he kept on troubling the Villarreal defence line. His pace and on-target shots troubled the Villarreal defence line and their goalkeeper. Later, he managed to score his first
goal with the help of Andres Iniesta who delivered the ball perfectly to his feet.
Right before the end of the game, he scored his third goal form a move which started from him. He passed the ball to Thiago Alcantara who gave a cut back pass to him as he tapped the ball in to find the back of the net. It was simply a phenomenal performance
by the best player in the world.
Xavi Hernandez – 6.5
He replaced Xavi Hernandez later in the game and managed to impress as he fitted in perfectly.
David Villa – 6.5
He came on to replace Pedro Rodriguez who left the pitch because of an injury. Despite coming late into the game, he troubled the Villarreal defence line and even took two shots on goal.

He replaced Cesc Fabregas in the game. His pass to Thiago Alcantara could have finished in the back of the net if Alcantara stopped it rather than trying to shoot it. Despite being so young, he showed that he has all the qualities to become a quality midfielder.
