Barcelona vs. Villarreal – Spanish La Liga – Full Time Report (Part 2)
It didn’t take Barcelona a lot of time to score the first goal of the game. It was the young Barcelona youth star Thiago Alcantara who opened the scoring for the Spanish Champions.
It was during the 25th minute when Thiago Alcantara received the ball near the penalty area and he decided to dribble past four Villarreal defenders. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pedro-c29582 Rodriguez; however, he shot the ball from his left foot and found the back of the net. Barcelona were leading the game in only 25 minutes – this was just the beginning of things.
Villarreal were keeping their defence steady and they were making it hard for Barcelona to score goals past them. The Spanish Champions were moving the ball around to tire their opponents and for most of the first half Villarreal managed to keep the score line to 1-0.
However, right before the half time whistle, a wonderful pass from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 found Cesc Fabregas making a run into the area. The newly signed Barcelona star made a perfect run forward, easily rounded the goalkeeper and found the back of the net. It was Cesc Fabregas’ first goal of the La Liga season and his second goal for Barcelona as a player.

As the second half kicked off, Barcelona scored another goal within two minutes. A wonderful pass from Thiago Alcantara found Alexis Sanchez making a run from the right side. The former Udinese star easily finished the move and found the back of the net to make the score line 3-0.
It was quite awkward to see Lionel Messi not getting on the score sheet in the first; however, he did score a double later on. The Argentinean maestro scored a brilliant goal as Andres Iniesta found him making a run inside the penalty area. Messi easily rounded the goalkeeper and finished with his weaker right foot. The score line became 4-0 and it looked as if the Catalans were scoring at will.
Later, Lionel Messi made the score line 5-0 from a move which he started himself. The Argentinean star received the ball right outside the box. Messi saw Thiago Alcantara making a run towards the penalty area and he delivered an inch perfect through ball towards him. Even though Thiago looked as if he will shoot from a close range, he gave a cut back pass to the on-rushing Lionel Messi. The best player in the world easily tapped the ball in to make the score line 5-0 in favour of Barcelona.
Barcelona won the fixture 5-0 against a team which is going to play in the UEFA Champions League this season. It definitely means that the two signings made by Josep Guardiola are going to aid him win more trophies.
