The director of Brazilian football, Andres Sanchez, has voiced his opinion regarding the current Spanish champions.
Sanchez has stated that Barcelona will not remain the most successful club forever and has emphasized that they will cease to win almost every trophy in the next 5 to 6 years.
The Brazilian was of the opinion that the Catalans are only enjoying a phase of success and that things will be different after a few years, insisting that the Spanish giants will not remain on top of football in the coming years.
Barca have made a name for themselves as being the most successful club in the world over the past few years. Not only are the Catalan giants a dominant force in the Spanish La Liga, they are also one of the footballing juggernauts across Europe.
Ever since Pep Guardiola took charge of affairs at the Nou Camp in 2008, La Blaugrana have managed to be successful in 13 competitions out of a total of 16 that they have competed in. This feat is not only remarkable in the modern game, but also greatly
significant in the history of football.
With the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, the Spanish giants also boast of having one of the strongest and most complete squads in the world.
However, Andres Sanchez has argued that Barca’s success is temporary and that all prominent football clubs experience such phases throughout their history.

He also admitted that he is unimpressed by Barcelona’s youth academy and emphasized that the new breed of players does not have what it takes to keep the trophies coming to the Nou Camp.
While talking to TV Gazeta, he quoted:
"The thing about Barcelona having a football school, in which all teams play the same way, is all c**p. This is just a phase. What were they winning five or six years ago? Nothing.
"And what will they win in five or six years? Nothing, because Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi and everyone else will have retired or will be close to retiring. I did not see their Under-17 team play anything like Pep Guardiola's team; they lost
2-0 to Corinthians' Under-17 side. The only difference was that the kids do not have the obligation to win."
Over the years there have been a number of clubs that dominated the sport quite similarly to Barcelona today. Even though nothing can be said at the moment, La Blaugrana, in the future, may actually continue being the club they are today. Mes que un
club (more than just a club)? Not so much if this proves to be true.
