Barcelona with 100 goals in 2010
While performing under Josep Guardiola, the Catalan giants have managed to pull off some extraordinary statistics, as they have been known throughout the world for their amazing style of play and goal scoring form.
Each year, the Blaugrana wearing side manages to score more goals and in the year 2010 Guardiola’s men have already managed to score 100 goals. Last year, the team produced 93 goals and as the record looked unbeatable, the unpredictable
Barcelona side managed to score 100 to set another mark for themselves.
After the El Clasico, the midfield maestro Xavi Hernandez said it out loud that the Catalan giants this year are even better than last season and later when the statistics were compared, it was clearly seen that he was right.
Barcelona managed to score almost 3 goals in every game during the year 2010. Looking at the calendar rather than the seasons, Barcelona already managed to reach the 100 mark of scoring goals. In 36 league games that the Catalan
giants have been a part of, the Spanish Champions have managed to put up an average of 2.77 goals in each game, which can easily be rounded off to approximately 3 goals in each game that they have played in 2010. If this season is to be counted, the Spaniards
have managed to keep an average of 2.92 goals in every game, thanks to a few big wins in the recent games that they have played.
Barcelona have not only been efficient in scoring goals, in fact they have been extraordinary in defending as well. While they have managed to score 100 goals in the year 2010, the Spaniards have only conceded 23 goals. This clearly
shows that Guardiola is not improving his side’s goal scoring, but also their defending. If an average is to be kept then the Catalan side has only managed to concede 0.63 goals in every game.
In 2009, the Catalan giants were simply on fire and they managed to score 93 goals, but this year they have already managed 100 goals. When Guardiola was in charge of the Catalan side, he managed to produce 6 titles and it is a
record that no club has ever achieved. Even though they won 6 titles that year, they could not really score as many goals as they have scored this year; however, they still managed to pull off 93 goals in only 36 games which is a record itself.
The Catalan giants have been in extraordinary form recently and during the last five games, they have simply shown that they are one of the best teams in not only Europe, but also the world. In their last five games, they managed
to score 3 goals against Villarreal and Getafe and they managed to score 4 against Sevilla. Later, they faced Almeria and won the game 0-8 while being away from home and recently scored 5 against the Los Blancos to go back at the top of the table as they managed
to keep almost a 5-goal average per game during the last five La Liga fixtures.
