The Brazilian defender is very happy with his goal scoring heroics of late as he capped another goal in Barcelona’s 5-1 win over Athletic Bilbao.
F.C http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 defender Adriano has expressed his delight over his name repeatedly gracing the score sheet for his club.
This season has seen the Brazilian http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773, already grabbing an impressive tally of 5 goals.
Adriano’s latest goal came in Barcelona’s 5-1 domestic demolition of Athletic Bilbao over the weekend and Adriano’s superb goal came as a nice contribution for the Catalans.
Two goals in three minutes saw Barcelona obtain a 2 goal lead over the visitors at Camp Nou.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664 Pique was the other defender on the night to have gotten him a goal as he lashed on to a rebound after Cesc Fabregas’ shot was saved by Iraizoz, and the former Manchester United player gratefully slotted it home.
Messi then immediately doubled Barcelona’s lead through a deflected effort and just moments before the half time whistle, deep in to stoppage time; Adriano got the goal that he was so proud off.
The Brazilian provided a beautiful finish to a typical Barcelona move as he was played masterfully by former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 captain, Cesc Fabregas. Adriano took the shot in his stride and struck it with some venom after Fabregas read his foraging run in the Athletic’s
penalty area.
The former Sevilla man was very content with his fine fortune in front of the goal and was eager to add more goals to his name in the remainder of the season.
"I have never scored so many goals at this point of the season," said Adriano.
Adriano also praised their opposition’s style of play and insisted that playing a team who like to impose their own playing style is much difficult to encounter, and only a fine performance can ensure you the result against such a side.
"We were very serious from the start, the first half was fantastic.”
"We prefer to play against teams that want to play their football (like Athletic), it makes you more focused and it forces to play at your best."
Barcelona have now gone 6 points clear of their nearest rivals Atletico Madrid and look set to have a major say on the La Liga title race.
