Barcelona’s Gerard Pique accuses Real Madrid for playing ill-tempered football- UCL news

He was talking in the wake of Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final. The former Manchester United player
was delighted to come out with an away win at the Bernabeu.
The Spaniard criticized the approach adapted by Madrid’s coach, Jose Mourinho, and claimed that the Los Blancos were actually not determined to play football. On the other hand, Madrid counted them self unlucky as they thought the referee favoured the Catalan
giants.
Pique thought otherwise and insisted that Madrid were very harsh and the Barca players were lucky to escape without getting any sort of injury. He claimed that Pepe’s red card in the 61st minute was the turning point in the game and the Portuguese
deserved it rightly.
The 24-year-old added, “They think the only way to stop us is playing like this [ill-tempered football],” the defender told
