Father of the esteemed tactician, Valenti Guardiola, took out time to reflect on the situation and claimed that his son needs time to flex after fatiguing himself on the job.
Velenti stated that Pep has had football on his mind, living the game with every passing second. He added that the responsibility weighed on him immensely, which when coupled by the expectations of the fans fatigued him.
"Pep was absolutely exhausted and overworked. He was thinking about football 24 hours per day, and always thought about the fans and the people who care about the club. It was a big responsibility for him," Valenti said while talking to Radio Catalunya.
Despite being close to his son, the senior Guardiola claimed that he is as much in the dark as rest of the people and does not when what will be his next move.
However, he insisted that whatever his son does next, there will not be a decrease in his level of dedication.

Valenti was pleased with the emotional sending off Pep received at the Camp Nou after the match against Espanyol.
"His farewell was very beautiful and touching. When Pep told me that he would leave Barca, I saw that he needed a place of tranquillity. It hurt a bit because Barca is Barca, but health comes before everything else."
The 41-year-old tactician will lead Barcelona for the final time in La Liga on Saturday, May 12, as the Camp Nou-based outfit take on the challenge of Real Betis in Andalusia.
