Barcelona's losses reduced to 15 million Euros
The Barcelona President Sandro Rosell has talked about the agreement between Barcelona and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Foundation. He stated that this agreement has helped the club reduce their fiscal losses from 22 million Euros to 15 million Euros.
Sandro Rosell attended a press confident on Wednesday to explain the overall performance of the board after remaining in charge of Nou Camp for six months now. The current Barcelona president highlighted the deal that was recently signed between the Catalan
club and Qatar Foundation.
He said, "It has given the club oxygen. Sealing this agreement has allowed us many things, among them is to not increase membership fees, not to bring in more advertising and to be able to continue to be a sports club."
The Barcelona supremo assured the club fans that this deal is not going to bring disrespect to the club. Barcelona never before had a sponsor on their shirts and it is for the first time that they are going to have a logo on the team’s jerseys.
Sandro Rosell also spoke about the supporters’ involvement in the club. He said that in case the supporters wanted to discuss the value of the agreement then he himself is going to be attending the next assembly and will be welcoming any sorts of questions.
He said that in case a whole group turns up during that assembly, he is going to be happy about the fact that the club is truly in the hands of the fans.
Sandro Rosell also gave special importance to the assets of the club. The president stated that he was keen to increase the worthwhile assets. He gave an example of “assets” as he named the area around the sports complex in Saint Joan Despi.
He said, "We are making a plan to recover the good assets and, at the same time, help sort out the bad. The lands in Viladecans are a problem."
About the reconstruction of Nou Camp, he said that it is important for him to make a new “Palaui Blaugrana” and the reason why he thinks that should happen is because they are a big club and are competing at the highest level.
Regarding Johan Cryuff, Sandro Rosell said, "Cruyff is a member of honour. Time will ensure that everything is sorted out and that it will be fixed." However, he did mention that the position of President of Honour does not exist.
