Barclays Premier League - Arsenal latest news

Havard Nordtveit joined Borussia Monchengladbach
Arsenal young right-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Håvard-Nordtveit-c15896 has joined the German League side, Borussia Monchengladbach for an undisclosed fee.
Havard joined Arsenal back in 2007; however, he has failed to break into Arsenal’s first team. In his term of three years with Arsenal, Havard was loaned out to Salamanca, Lillestrom and Nuremberg.
Borussia Monchengladbach is currently battling relegation zone and the young former Arsenal defender is aiming to help his new team to come out from the wrong side of the table.
Havard, who signed a three-year deal, said: "It's my goal to play as much as possible. I will do my utmost to break into the starting XI and will give everything to help the club forward. Monchengladbach have had some defensive problems, but I'm hopeful
that we'll return to winning ways after the winter break."
Moreover, Havard Nordtveit is one of the few players who have not featured even in a single match despite of being with the Gunners for 3 years.
Abou Diaby once again sidelined
It has been confirmed by the Gunners manager, Arsene Wenger, that Abou Diaby will be side-lined for few weeks after suffering a fresh injury.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 last Monday.  However, the French international started for Arsenal in a draw against Wigan Athletic, and just few minutes into the game, Diaby
limped off with a calf injury.
Abou Diaby has endured a frustrating season with niggling injuries and has made only nine appearances in Arsenal’s first team so far in this season.
Arsene Wenger confirmed, “It is a calf strain. He is out for a while now. Some weeks I think."
Abou Diaby joined Arsenal from Auxerre back in 2005, and since then his Arsenal has been considerably blighted by injuries. The French international suffered a horrific broken leg while playing against Sunderland, which forced him out of action for nine
months between 2006 and 2007. He also missed half of the last season after suffering an injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Arsenal’s position and next match
Arsenal are currently placed third in the Barclays Premier League table with 36 points to their credit out of 19 league matches. Arsenal will play their next match against Birmingham City at St. Andrews Stadium on Saturday, January 1st, 2011.
