Barclays Premier League Countdown to the Transfer Window (Part 2)
Everton
IN: Jan Mucha, Jermaine Beckford, Magaye Gueye, Joao Silva.
OUT: Dan Gosling, Anton Peterlin, John Ruddy, Lukas Jutkiwwicz, Carlo Nash, Iain Turner
The cash flow seems to have almost slowed down to a standstill for Everton, it looks like the boss, David Moyes has spent most of his budget on keeping his claws deep into Jack Rodwell and keeping him rooted to the team, also alluring Steven Pienaar to stay with the team.
The South African player was hoping for more offers to come as soon as he got done with the World Cup, but this did not happen and he had been putting off his transfer just in light of this opportunity.
Tottenham Hotspurs is the only club willing to pay for this player who will be up for free grabs in January, and Everton feels that it is going to lose one of its most prized players, even though the club pays him a record-setting weekly pay of fifty thousand pounds per week and this is the highest pay in the clubs history.
The obstacles that Everton seemed to be nearing before have resurfaced and the club looks blunt now. Keeping the Toffees’ current status in mind David Moyes may be willing to deal with Harry Redknapp for Robbie Keane and Pienaar going the other way.
This would basically be a swap deal and it seems like a good transaction for both the clubs. Every summer there are rumours about Angelo Ogbonna leaving, which highlights the truth that Everton needs another centre half.
Still the transfer season is almost over and it seems the best thing the Everton boss did this summer is to make sure that Jack Rodwell stays with the club.
Fulham
IN: Jonathan Greening, Mouassa Dembele, Carlos Salcido, Phillipe Senderos.
OUT:  Chris Buchtchman, Luca Mosciatello, Wesley Foderingham , Wayne Brown, Erik Nevland, Elliot Omozusi, Andranik Teymourian, Stefan Payne, Suliaman Bangura, Gyan Osei King, Michael Uwezu, Chris Smalling
Fulham quickly replaced their old boss and brought on Mark Hughes when Roy Hodgson left for Liverpool.
Mark Hughes is the ex- Manchester City and Blackburn boss and has a very profitable reputation and his move to ‘The Cottagers’ could end up being a very good thing for the club.
Right now the club is financially stable and money is not an issue at Craven Cottage, so Hughes is taking his time to leave his distinct mark on the team.
Arsenal keeps moving in the background making offers for Mark Schwarzer and in the mean time Mark Hughes seems keen on adding a few more strikers to his attack.
Right now the team depends on Bobby Zamora and Hughes is trying to bag Robbie Keane. Another Irish man Shay Givens was linked to the club and even the player has commented on the matter by saying that he would be willing to transfer, if the terms of the deal were to his liking.
If this deal is struck then it would go for something around five million pounds, it would become one of the most major signings of the season and may lure Keane to play with his fellow countrymen Given and Duff.
Shay Givens transfer is dependent on the factor, if it is a permanent or a temporary deal as Given is not interested in a single season loan deal, as this would mean that he would start right back where he started a year ago, so if Hughes really wants one of the best keepers in the League then he needs to offer a permanent deal.
An enquiry was made regarding Rogue Santa Cruz and Robert Manicini has made it clear that his striker is up for sale. Although the real deal is dependent on the player himself and his decision regarding his stay with Manicini, moving up to Hughes or just going to Rome and taking up lazio’s offer.
Paul Konchesky’s move to Liverpool was quickened by Carlos Salcido joining the club and while Steven Taylor seems like a major candidate as well. Mark Hughes is very talented when it comes to reading the signs and it seems like a smart move to being in a replacement for Brede Hangeland as soon as he left.
