Barclays Premier League - Reviews of News: Everton, Fulham and Liverpool
Everton
Everton’s talismanic skipper has been delighted with his team progress, but thinks that his team mates need to be more solid in the attack after their draw against West Bromwich Albion. He also added that his team was moving in the right
direction playing great football in the way.
The Australian international said:" The key is putting more of our chances away. We should have got more out of the game. We created a lot of chances and that is why we were upset with ourselves for not putting more of them away. The main
thing is for us to be focused and positive that we created those chances. We look like we're going to create a lot of opportunities with the way we're playing at the moment. We have some momentum going. Now it is about putting the ball in the net. We could
have been a lot more clinical - but it wasn't to be."
Recently, Everton has shown some excellent form on pitch, as they went unbeaten last month in which they also defeated their arch rivals Liverpool by two goals to nil.
At the start of October, Everton was battling relegation zone but now they are well placed on 11 spot with 14 points to their name.
Moreover, Everton’s manager, David Moyes has also been named Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month of October for his team’s extraordinary performance during last month.
Fulham
The Cottagers new manager has criticised Villa’s defender, Young, for his rigorous tackle on Fulham’s attacker, Carlos Salcido during last weekend draw against Aston Villa at Craven Cottage.
As a result of that tackle from Luke Young, Salcido was forced to leave the pitch. Carlos Salcido damaged his ankle and would be out of action for few weeks. Mark Hughes was discontent with that tackled from Young and said "It doesn't
look good in fairness. He's in a boot at the moment. I've seen the tackle on video and the lad's gone over the top and I would imagine its ligament damage. I don't want to say how long but it'll be a number of weeks."
Fulham is currently on 13 spot in Barclays Premier League table with 13 points to their name out of 11 matches. Mark Hughes’s men will visit Stamford Bridge tonight to take on Chelsea for London derby match.
Liverpool
Saint-Etienne has warned Liverpool off a January move for exciting midfield prospect Dimitri Payet.
Liverpool has been linked with a transfer window swoop for Payet as they look to boost their squad.
Les Verts claim they have no plans to part with any of their players’ midway through the season and instead will be looking to strengthen their squad.
St. Etienne’s co-president Roland Romeyer said, "Liverpool have not contacted us. We have built a roster for the season. There will be no departures during the winter transfer window. Should there be any movement, it would be the other
way. Depending on injuries, for example, we could sign a player. But this is only a theory."
The 18 times Premier League winners shocked the whole world when they defeated Chelsea at Anfield by two goals to nil last week. Following their win over Chelsea, Liverpool is now on 8thposition in Barclays Premier League, with
15 points in 11 matches. They will face Wigan Athletic tonight and would look to continue their recent impressive form.
