I got hit by four £8 'guaranteed payment' fees on my Barclays current account.I'd gone a fiver over and my buffer has gone so I've been told.Apparently the charging system has changed.I queried the charge and was told it was correct then called back and was put on hold for about 20 minutes whilst the woman tried to work out the charges then a further 5 or so whilst her manager also tried to make sense of them.Eventually I was told that neither of them could understand why 4 charges had been made and it was being sent for an investigation.I will get a letter recording the query an a day or so then hear in about five days.It has taken over an hour in total to get this far.If there has been a mistake what is likely to happen?If I just got two charges refunded would I have cause for further complaint,how am I supposed to understand when I would get charged if they don't seem to understand themselves?Any experiences or ideas please?Thanks.
