Okay so I ordered myself a starter kit today because I got suckered in lol.

Anyways my questions is, has anyone ever used to stuff? How did it work for you?

  1. I bought it after I'd heard such great reviews of it on this forum. Overall, I've been pretty pleased with it. I find that it gives me great coverage and evens out my skin tone. It looks natural and my face doesn't feel like it has a ton of make up on it. But through experimentation, I've discovered some things that make it look and work a little better.

    The kit includes a bottle of face primer that's supposed to make the product stay on longer and go on more smoothly. Definitely use it. But I would also recommend making sure you use a moisturizer underneath it. It seems to help the product last longer. And make sure the primer is completely dry before applying the minerals.

    Layering the product seems to make it last better, too. The DVD that comes with the product advises to apply the minerals to the face, and then top it off with Mineral Veil to set it and help it last. I've started doing the concealer first, then a layer of the Mineral Veil, then the whole face application, concealer touch ups of anything that didn't get completely covered, then a second layer of Mineral Veil.

    Also, I try really hard not touch my face throughout the day. That way, the product stays on and stays even throughout the day. Make sure you wash your face before going to bed. Some people on this forum have said that the product caused them to break out. I did have a strange breakout the next day after using the minerals, but I kept using them, and my skin seems to have gotten used to the product and no more break outs.

    I actually liked the product so much, I went out and bought the starter kit for eyes. I love the eyeshadows and liners a lot!

    --->Good Luck!

  2. thats all i wear and i love it.  :]

    you have to get used to it.

  3. ***the product in the starter kit is not a primer. it's a skin product that exfoliates, makes moisturizer absorb better, and helps prevent breakouts. if you like using a primer you would use the products in this order:

    1) skin rever upper (product in starter kit)

    2) moisturizer

    3) primer.

    But anyway, the foundation is a good product. The kit will come with two, both are different undertones. Do stripes of both on your cheek and whichever matches best is the one for you, toss the other one out. One is not for winter/summer-- they are both in the same family (light,med,dark) just different undertones. Make sure you never dip the brush directly in the product, when they say swirl tap buff they're not kidding. Watch the dvd, it will show you the best way to apply the other products in there. If you have issues with itchiness it's probably from the sunscreen, use a moisturizer with SPF in it and you should be okay. And for touch ups, try just touching up with mineral veil. It will absorb oil and make your makeup look more fresh.

  4. It works pretty well for me, u just need to kinda layer if u want a fuller coverage, at times it made my skin itchy, but if u just leave it alone then it feels better.Umm... its a pretty good foundation, but it does have a tendency of coming off during the day, but only about 30% (but always in those spots u want covered UGH!) lol but re applying takes care of it quickly. its a bit hard to carry around (like in a purse) but its pretty good.

  5. I absolutely love Bare Escentuals and it has completely transformed my skin! I am so sorry I haven't been using BE for much longer. My skin is clear, and fresh, even without makeup on!

    I think you will really love the makeup!!!

    If you get "itchy" like the first answer said, try this... when applying, put on Mineral Veil, then foundation, then another layer of Mineral Veil. I call it the mineral veil sandwich. It really helps on those hot days!
