Bare Mineral Makeup, hot or not?

Question

I really want to get it, I hear its so good. Should I? I want natural coverage so that people won't know I'm wearing makeup. But I want enough coverage so that my skin looks beautiful. Every other foundation in the past haven't worked for me. They were either too noticable (not natural looking enough) or the wrong colour. Please help me clear up these issues Thanks <<3

not. you&#039;ll like it at first but it contains bismuth which is a skin irritant. do your research on the actual product.

if you think makeup is too noticable on you, maybe you are applying too much. when youre done applying your concealer and foundation..use a buffer brush to buff it out and it&#039;ll appear more natural. also...make sure youre using the right shade! makeup artists like at mac or at cosmetics counters will help you determine the right shade.

UH-mazing.

it works well taking your natural skin tone and smoothing redness and irritation while takinga way bumps and discolorations on your face like magic! The blush quality and colors are amazing and you&#039;ll have a lot to choose from. They give you a foundation and a sheer cover as well as natural light and warmth.

I say go for it!

Also they have really great applicators and eyeshadows if you want a more drastic look!

It is fantastic, but the best advice I got when I started wearing it is to wait 2 weeks before deciding if I like it or not.  The first day, I hated it.  I did not feel like I got enough coverage and it seemed uneven.  The second day was better and each day got better.  By the end of the 2nd week, I was in love!!

I love it but it can be expensive.  Now many of the cheaper brands make mineral foundation.  Try some drug store brand and if you like it spend the money on Bare Minerals.  Or go to Sephora and have the sales people test it on you and show you the tricks before you buy it.  I am pale, with sensitive skin that gets red easily and it is perfect for me.

NOT. I am a professional makeup artist and deal with many high end clientel and events (such as photo shoots, weddings etc) I have used bare escentuals in the past and have run into many complications with them. I used them on many different skin types and ethnicities and I can say there were a lot of complaints. 1) The itchy, dry, feeling with possible breakouts and rashes. This is the most common complaint and is due to the bismuth oxychloride which is a cheaper mineral and can cause irritation (just google bare escentuals bismuth oxychloride itch and you&#039;ll find pages of people who broke out from it).......... 2) It does not last long at all! It wears off after about 3-4 hours (in humid weather sooner) you&#039;ll need to apply and reapply several times a day.......... 3) It looks greasy and oily and shiny especially in photos, this was one of the biggest problems I had as people have to photograph well and you cannot look oily and greasy and look good. ............4) THEY LIE. They are NOT all natural. They use PARABEAN preservatives (which have links to cancer) in their mineral veil and skin care formulas. These are the reasons I would not recommend them. I However do recommend FAERIE ORGANIC MINERALS. http://www.faerieorganic.com they are ALL NATURAL 1)no preservatives, no cheap fillers (cornstarch, talc etc) they are much more high end than Bare Escentuals as they use an expensive mineral called BORON NITRIDE which is anti bacterial and a known skin soother and perfector. Their product LASTS ALL DAY! Even in Hot conditions. You look flawless, glowy and beautiful but NOT GREASY! My clientele loves it and I use it myself. Soo many people are switching from other brands (including Bare escentuals) to faerie organic. Read their customer reviews (many of them have used bare escentuals) They have a sample starter kit for FREE (you just pay shipping) check it out. This is the best and highest quality makeup you can get for the price. I cannot say enough good about this brand. I answer these questions frequently, trying to help people not to waste their money on inferior brands.

I never had much success with the brand Bare Minerals, but a great mineral makeup system that I have liked is Sheer Cover.  It is only about $30 (I think) for the first 30 days supply, but they give you two shades of foundation so that you can blend to perfectly match your skin tone, cleanser, moisturizer, a great concealer and samples of mascara and cream shadows/blushes to accent your eyes.  Also included is all of the brushes you need and a DVD how to.  It gives great coverage and nice quality of makeup.  It also has sunscreen and your skin feels better after a few days of using the cleanser and moisturizer combo!  Just be careful about getting sucked into buying the automatic 90 day supply, because my supply lasted a bit longer than the &quot;recommended&quot; days, it is best to reorder 30 days at a time and why pay for something every 90 days when dont need it that soon?
