Question:

Bare Minerals question?

I have a really light skin tone. I tried Bare Minerals "fairly light" and it looks like I didn't even put any make up on, it still shows all of my imperfections. I tried "light" and it covered everything up perfectly but I don't think it's the right shade for me, it seems a bit too dark. Is it the lighter the shade of foundation, the less coverage you have? Anyone else had this problem? Suggestions?

P.S. And yes I use the kabuki brush for full coverage...

  1. Try using Bare Minerals Foundation Primer underneath with Fairly Light, since that's the shade that actually matches your skin. Primer will help your foundation give you better coverage.

Also, try pre-concealing your imperfections with the Max Coverage Concealer brush before dusting on your foundation all over. Dot on again with the same brush after if you still need more coverage.

  2. Many people have this issue with Bare Minerals. It doesn't give full coverage so it's best that you switch to a more natural mineral makeup that gives better coverage. The ingredients in Bare Minerals/Bare Escentuals are too sheer for them to stay on your face all day anyway. In other words you can find a better makeup for a lesser price.

  3. The fairly light is for those with like porcelain skin, the light is for those slightly with your complexion I think with golden undertones and the medium is for the medium toned and I don't think you need to know about the others really but it is better if you take a look at the following site for help. personally I think

  4. nope.. they don't have precise shades

  5. why don't you just mix the fairly light and the light to make a custom shade. that way it looks natural, and also covers imperfections. i also had this problem, mixing the shades solved it for me.

  6. The problem with bare minerals is due to the fact it's a firly light concealer it doesn't always cover up everything when it matches your skin tone.

Try clinque for something heavier or apply the concealer twice. like liqud to power fondation works really well or just liquid fondation in general.

    good luck :)
