I have a birthmark that I cover with derma blend and then I normally use derma blend powder over top of it. I want to use bare essutuals instead though. I was wondering if I should just get the powder foundation or if I should also get the mineral veil to go over top of it? what are your experiences with this??

  1. the mineral veil is very light, i doubt it will cover the birthmark.

You would need the powder foundation.. and that MAY cover it. I dont think bare essentuals disguises much...

  2. The mineral veil is to set your makeup and help it last longer. It really does not help with concealing because it is a translucent powder!

  3. Bare Minerals is AMAZING. its the most flawless and natural looking make up ever. i seriously dont know what i would do w/out  it. well mineral veil is the finishing touch. I use medium beige (base color) and that is like your foundation. then i use the tinted mineral veil and its a finishing touch. kinda like lip gloss haha. so you should get a base color put that on with the B.M. brush and then mineral veil. the tinted mineral veil just gives you a healthy glow.

  4. If you want to cover something you need to go with the foundation.  The mineral veil is a sheer type of powder that goes on after the foundation.  It sort of "sets" the makeup and helps to control oil and shine.  Even the tinted mineral veil doesn't cover well.  I use both and I really like it.  It covers blemishes really well and evens out my skintone.  I don't know how well it will cover a birthmark though.  Hope this helped you.
