Barefoot Lady hoping for success in the EBF Stobart PJA Testimonial Lyric Fillies´ Stakes
Despite the fact that, Barefoot Lady has not recorded a victory since April last year, trainer Richard Fahey looks optimistic about her chances in the EBF Stobart PJA Testimonial Lyric Fillies´ Stakes at York on 27th July, 2012.
The handler believes that she can easily take on the 1 mile, 2 furlong and 88 yard race since, she ran in big races against some tough runners. The trainer does not doubt her ability and skill as he stated:
"Hopefully she can win, she definitely deserves it as she's an extremely tough filly. She's had some hard races and every time I think of giving her some time, she comes out bucking and squealing. We don't really train her, we just let her race and
she seems to enjoy it that way. I just hope she gets home as it's 10 and a half furlongs, so we'll see."
Fahey has been running the four-year-old in mostly Group 1 races to build up her form which she demonstrated in the Group 1 Etihad Airways Falmouth Stakes on 13th July, 2012, where she finished sixth at Newmarket under jockey,
Paul Hanagan.
Among the eight runners competing in this race, the Queen owned, Momentary, could get her act together and try to claim a victory after she finished 12th in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes at Ascot.
Trainer Michael Bell is hoping the bay filly can return to her winning form, which she demonstrated at Newbury in the Swettenham Stud Fillies' Trial Stakes in May, 2012, when she defeated, Hughie Morrison’s charge, Shirocco Star.
Bell believes that the daughter of Nayef can deliver at this track because it is similar to Newbury with the galloping left-handed track.

The good to firm surface of the track should also favour’s the filly, as she prefers a faster track.
Trainer Jeremy Noseda is pleased with the form of his charge, Elas Diamond, who is returning to the track after an entire season. The trainer told the media:
“I have been pleased with her work and, while I feel that she will improve for the run, I hope she can give a good account of herself.”
