Bargain hotel in Temple Bar Dublin?

Question

me and my boyfrind are going to Dublin in april for the banmk holiday weekend. Does anyone know of a decent hotel in the Temple Bar area with a reasonable price and good service/location etc.? We have previously stayed in The Parliament hotel and The Fitzsimons, we loved both but are proving quite pricey this time round. Many thanks.

i live in dublin and i would suggest maybe not staying in temple bar (or does it have to be there?)cos the hotels are far to over priced may be try some hotels closer to temple bar ....may even eden quay as quite a few hotels that i believe to be quite reasonable. Maybe try the northside of the quays

        Well, as you can well imagine Dublin is very expensive, if only for the tourist trade, and if it's good service at a reasonable price it looks like the 'Fitz' or the 'Parlie' are going to be 'yer only man'. so what you really need to do in order to drop down the price and the services a small bit, is to consider lodging away from the city centre, so If you can get a copy of a Dublin Newspaper, or look on-line, you might be starting in the right direction, and also think about renting the room rather than cost per person, that sometimes works too, Hope you find a pad soon, and have a lot of fun in our capital city when you arrive, but, please be careful at holiday time, and lookafter your belongings too, for all of this warning, you should be ok, so enjoy your holiday...Tony M
