Barista athena

Question

We didn't use our barista athena for a couple of weeks and when I went to use it water did not come out of the steam wand, rather straight through the shot handle which is unusual because when I first turn it on I flush the steam wand (per the directions) and then flip the steam on switch. I opened the top and it doesn't look like anything is blocked
