  1. Leave him in the crate and ignore him. If you keep letting him out you are giving him what he wants.. Rewarding him for bad behaviour.

  2. I had the same thing happen.  Sounds like he has severe separation anxiety.  Being 8 weeks I assume you just got him.  It will take him a while to get adjusted to his new home.  You are probably the only thing he knows right now and when you are gone he freaks out.  I'm sure the same thing happens when you leave.  If you start leaving the room for just a second and gradually increasing the time you are away he should begin to believe that he will be ok without you there all of the time.  Check out this website;

    They have some pretty good tips that may help you out.

    ADD :  I also believe that crate training will help out a lot, but you must follow through with the TRAINING.  Just throwing him in a crate and leaving him will only make the situation worse.  He needs to be warmed up to the idea.  If you google crate training you will find many websites that will help you with this.  It's pretty simple but takes time as well.  The crate should be a place he enjoys and not fears.

  3. First off he barks because he knows that you will eventually come and get him.

    Bad mistake to do...you are letting him be the boss.

    Do you have a crate? Use it.

    Put him in there at night and just don't let him out. He will eventually figure out that he is getting nowhere and quit.

    He might do it for a couple of nights, but hey thats what comes with owning a pup.

    Boxers are very loving dogs and want constant human attention and will get it by any means possible.

    But you are the boss, not him, you need to teach him that or he will be the one running your household.

    He might sound like he is dying but he will be ok. You know he is not hurt, bleeding or dying so just let him be.

  4. Your spending way too much time with him. Thats what making him go crazy when u leave the room. my puppy did the same thing. Dont hold him all the time anymore and dont take him everywhere until he gets better. It helped my dog and now she is just fine.

  5. I know it makes you feel bad to leave him alone.  HE's training YOU to give him what he wants.  You're going to have to crate him and make him understand that that's where he sleeps at night.  If you don't mind having him in your bedroom, put the crate there.  Sooner or later (probably won't take more than a couple of nights) he's going to catch on that barking does no good.  And you can make "shushing" noises to soothe him.  But don't get up and pet him, or take him into your bed unless you want him sleeping there when he weighs 100 lbs.

  6. As said before do not let him out of his crate as it is rewarding barking if you let him out. An option to try which is not coddling him is to have him sleep in his crate, it your room.
