in Europe with Schalke.
“First of all, I want to have a really good pre-season. I’m still lacking match practice as I was out injured for a long time. But I’m glad I’m back in shape now and able to get stuck in. I’m trying to get fully fit and I want
to show the coaching staff I deserve to be in the team. Obviously, I want to be part of the team that qualifies for Europe again,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the 27-year old admitted that he is delighted to be back in training after spending a few months on the sidelines. The player insisted that it is obviously hard initially but is certain that everything will be
alright when things get in routine.
“You do have a training plan but it’s always really hard to back into it when it all gets going again. But it’s completely normal to wake up with cramp for the first two or three days. We’ve still got a bit of time left,” he concluded.
