Baroda v Odisha - http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kumar-Shri-Ranjitsinhji-c71870 Trophy - Group B - Day 3 – Live Score Update
Odisha 181 and 123 v http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Baroda-c769 301 and 4/0 (0.5 ov) - Baroda won by 10 wickets
The Group B, Ranji Trophy, match between Baroda and Odisha was wrapped up a day earlier due to the Moti Bagh Stadium, Vadodara's wicket that aided the bowlers from both sides, wreaking havoc on the batsmen.
Baroda won the match by ten wickets, but this victory was not a surprise for them as they had dominated Odisha from the get go, first by bowling them out on a meagre score of 181, and then giving a phenomenal batting performance, putting a score enough to cripple Odisha for good.
The day began with Baroda resuming their first innings from 290 for six. They knew that hundred more runs would put their opposition in a spot of bother.
However, the overnight partnership between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Huzefa-Mohammed-Patel-c63657 was an epic fail today, as after scoring only a run, Baroda saw Singh find his way back to the pavilion when he was removed by DR Behera for 13. UB Patel was unlucky as he saw his stumps shattered all over the place off DR Behera.
With tail-enders KP Patel and MY Vahora on the crease, the bowlers were expected to make another breakthrough. They tasted success again when KP Patel was clean-bowled by Mohanty after scoring only seven runs.
With nine wickets down for 297, the last pair managed to drag their side to 301 before crumbling.
Odisha’s DR Behera was outstanding in this innings, as he nabbed five wickets in 26 overs.
They now needed to post a big total in their second innings to save the match, however, they had a terrible start, yet again, as they lost four wickets by the time they had amassed 38 on the board.
This pattern did not change as they kept losing wickets, consequently succumbing on a disappointing score of 123 in 36.5 overs.
Requiring just four runs to win was a piece of cake for Baroda, as they reached the target on the fifth ball of the innings.
