  1. it is a gorgeous hotel.

everything in it is more than satisfactory .

    enjoy yourself .

  2. My boyfriend and I have been to Baron Palms in July last year. It was great...we are thinking of going there this year, too.

The place was spotless and very luxurious. The main restaurant has a great variety food , for everybody to please. There are also some a la cart restaurants where you can have dinner but you must reserve table one evening before, at the reception.

There is an amphitheatre where are free entertainment shows every night (which are quite amusing).

There are 2 pools (really big) with a waterfall but you have to wake up in the morning to get a sunbed.

The beach is really nice with smooth sand and a pontoon with great access to the coral reefs (i think the best in the area) if you like snorkeling.

Some shops are available on your way from the hotel to the beach selling local stuff...be aware at the prices they're asking, negotiate everything (and you'll get sometimes more then a half price discount).

So all you have to do is to enjoy your vacation, because (from my point of view) you've made a really good choice.

Hope my review was helpful, and have a great time :)

  3. I arrived at Baron on the 12th May 2008 and I loved the hotel... and Egypt itself (so much i went back 2 weeks later and just got back to England now) The Baron Palms resort is large and relaxing. There are 2 pools (attached together) the one with the waterfall is colder that the other one so you get a choice of temperature... you will find it difficult to get a bed around the pool (i had to wake up at 7.30am to go down and put a towel out to save them)... if you dont want to wake up that early you can go to the beach,,, it is a walk away (about 4 - 5 minutes) and you can push it to 9.30 10ish before the beds run out... The food is ok,, the buffet in the tiran restaurant (the main one) is repetitive (stay away from the rice) the paradise pool bar lunch menu is nice (esp the coconut chicken) wasnt too keen on the evening menu and the beach bar lunch is basic but does the trick... There is a man going around selling tickets to events in the evening i.e egyptian night... i would recommend to NOT do this. i didnt because others said it was a waste of money,,, There is only 2 decent night time bars - the veranda bar which is off the lobby... It is funny to watch the waiters and the bar men argue with each other... Mustafah the head barman is funny and will do anything to make you happy (the local alcohol is like paint stripper so i would suggest to buy a couple of bottles at duty free on the way out of your favourite drink) Now and Zen is a cheesy disco but still a laugh sometimes. The shopping strip is overpriced,,, dont shop there,,, go to Naama Bay (the main town) or for even cheaper prices go to Old Sharm. Always haggle and go half their price! If you have any problems talk to reception they are there to help and more than happy to help... house keeping is amazing (kinda weird having a man cleaning your room) They had a spa there but i dont know whats happened (my husband is the manager of the spa, and it was a seperate company and they moved out last friday) so i dont know if they are bringing in a different company or not. I know i have gone on a bit but i would give this hotel 9/10... i would have given it 10/10 but only because of the food. Hope this helps :) and have a good time :)
