  1. Most teachers I have taken ballet do barre in this order:

    1.plie

    2.tendu

    3.degaje

    4.ron de jamb

    5.phropa

    6.Grand Battma

    7.Stretch

I have taken classes in California from Edge Studio there. And That is mostly how they do barre. My teacher does barre in the same order but they might change 4. and 5 around but other than that its that order. I hope this helps

  2. It depends...

    I do it like this:

    1. Plie

    2. Tendu

    3. Degage

    4. Frappe (phropa)

    5. Rond de Jambe

    6. Fondu

    7. Stretching (sometimes we skip this one)

    8. Grand Battments

  3. Generally, plie goes first, but of course, it can be changed up. And its frappe, not phropa. Fendu should be in there, too. Frappe, fendu, develope, grand battements.

It really does vary by studio but that's the traditional order, and things, like petit battement and battement en cloche can be put in

  4. It really depends on all of this...

    1. the teacher

    2. which ever the teacher decides

    3. What exercises she decides to do with the class that day

  5. Uh, it depends on the exercises? In my class we always started with plies... Then tendus and degajes... ron de jambs... grand battmas... etc. Stretching came before, natch.

  6. It depends on the teacher. Most of the time we do the plie then the tendu, but every once in a while we mix it up a bit.

  7. the plie is always done first and grande battement is always done last. in between a logical order would be degaje, tendu/stretch (they mean the same thing), ron de jamb.

i cant work out what phropa means.

  8. 1.plie

    2.tendu

    3. degaje(slow)

    4. degeje (fast)

    5. ron de jamb

    6. frappé

    7. develope

    8. grande batma

  9. whats phropa?

    mine usually is

    Plies

    Tendus

    Degajes

    Piques

    Ron de jambe

    Frappes

    Stretch

    Battements

    Pirouette/Fouette combination at barre
