hi

im looking for a new barrel racing saddle. the one i have now is a Martha Josey Barrel Saddle -

http://www.ebarrelracing.com/php/photos/8110_2.jpg ( this is very similar to it, but this is not my saddle.)

i would like something lighter, that has a good fit on my horse, and is good for barrels and western riding.

the saddle i have now is 2 years old. its still a little squeaky, the stirrups r starting to break and its really heavy. i want something lighter that i can do barrels in that is still cheap.

if u have any suggestions please share!

thankz.

ps - any recommended barrel racing pads would be nice too!!!

: D

  1. I like the Billy cook barrel saddles - and the charmayne james pads

  2. I have a Nathan Lamb barrel saddle and I love it. It's light weight and really comfy. I got it used and at a good price. I like used saddles cuz someone else had to break it in.

  3. Big Horn barrel saddles are nice

I have one; they are very close contact with the horse, most of them are light weight, and are comfortable and smooth to ride in

  4. Billy Cook makes a great saddle

  5. I have a Courts barrel saddle that i adore.  I prefer a Todd Slone or Pro Choice air ride pad.  Beware though .. the air rides make a crinkly noise that some horses dont like at first.  hehe
