I want to take the GO Train from Barrie to Toronto to visit the Eaton Center.

From what I have read, It is best to take the Train to Union Station and from there I'm not sure how to get to the Eaton Center exactly or how long the trip will take. Any info is appreciated.

  1. It's a comfortable  10-minute walk underground; follow the signs reading PATH.  Lots of interesing shopping along the way.

Buy tokens or a Day Pass at the subway and take a northbound train to either Queen or Dundas Station

  2. Take the TTC Subway North and get off at Dundas or at Queen. You can ask for a map of the TTC when you get to the station and can you that to find what train to take. Basically you want the Yonge Line, not the university line.

For my information you can also go to : http://www.ttc.ca

Where you will find a route map

  3. depends,

walk, about 15mins, not even, go north on bay, and then turn right on queen, and it will be like 2 seconds from there on your left.

subway, the subway station is attached to union station, go on the yonge line to either queen or dundas, both are in eaton center.

underground, i still find this confusing and i have lived downtown for over a year, takes aboutu 15-20mins, if you dont get lost/confused.. this time of yeah in this weather id recommend walking above ground rahter then the undeground

  4. Take the Go train to the station.  Then you have two choices. You can take the TTC (subway) and get off at Yonge and Dundas station.  Or you can walk it (about 10-12 min) by heading east on front and turning north on Yonge Street.

  5. once you're at union, exit the terminal onto Front Street.

Once you're there, walk east along Front street till you hit Yonge (not too far).  Walk North along Yonge street, and you'll be at the eaton center in 15 minutes? ish?

Even if you head the wrong way on front street, as long as you go north, you will eventually hit queen street. Once there, just ask for directions in one of the many shops.

Just remember that north is uphill, south is lake ontario ;)
