Question:

Barron's SAT books?

Should I still get these books:

BARRON’S CRITICAL READING WORKBOOK FOR THE SAT

BARRON’S WRITING WORKBOOK FOR THE NEW SAT

BARRON’S MATH WORKBOOK FOR THE NEW SAT

If I'm already getting these:

BARRON’S SAT 2400 WITH CD-ROM

BARRON’S SAT WITH CD-ROM

? 'Cause I can't afford to get much due to time and money constraints. These aren't the only books I'm getting for the SAT I...

Then I have to get books for SAT II...

I have to study for both those tests at the same time 'cause I doubt the interval between the October and November test date will be enough for the 3 subject tests I'm taking.

  1. Local libraries often have these books and tapes which are available for free. You might want to see what your local library has.

  2. I would just start with what you are already getting. Go through those and do some practice tests. If you think that you are weak in a certain subject for multiple reasons, then buy that book for the particular subject. If you just don't understand one little grammar rule or what not, you could probably find a good resource on the internet to answer your question. But don't get the other books until you know that you need some major practice (if you need to study that much in such a short time period you might not even finish the books anyway).

About the local library thing --yes they have free resources there, but they won't have the latest edition (don't get anything before 2007-08) and although there isn't a dramatic change between the 08 and 09 edition, one small new detail added can sometimes make all the difference
