The alibi story gets full marks for comedy value, but in reality George could not be convicted of killing Dando because there was absolutely no evidence against him. The two tiny pieces of forensic evidence that convicted him last time were later found to be absolutely worthless, as they could have come from anywhere.

George is a vile character and a menace to women, but he is not a murderer. It's frankly laughable to suggest that this shambling character could have done the Dando killing, which bears all the hallmarks of a professional hitman. Dando's work on Crimewatch would have made her many, many enemies in the criminal underworld, and it's possible that her charity work for Kosovan refugees made her a target of Serb nationalists too.

i know its very difficult to hear his excuse but the fact is that the jury had to accept guilt beyond reasonable doubt that it was him and they couldnt do that. if i had touched a ten pound note, used by someone previously with gun residue on it, then that then transferrs onto me and in my purse, would that make me guilty of a crime involving a gun? thats not fair. the man is a loser, creep and many other words that are not permittable here, but the jury couldnt find him guilty for that crime so he has to go free. if he was guilty of rape, and i cant find the evidence for that, then thats a different matter and needs to be dealt with in another trial

It would seem to me that someone should be making sure them women are seeing a councilor right now because it is going to bring back all them nightmares if they ever went away.
