Barry Hall - another question - will he also be charged with striking Beau Waters?

Question

When Waters fronted Hall at the quarter time break, Hall grabbed Waters' jumper & "jumper punched" him. It was plain to see. Waters suffered a deep cut to his lip & the Eagles expect Hall to face scrutiny over this incident as well.

I hope they throw the book at Hall. I would even go as far as saying that WCE should lodge an official complaint if nothing done on the second incident.

I don't think he will be charged with striking Beau Waters, in most wrestling that goes on there are jumper punches thrown and most of the time the only charge to come from it is wrestling., and even then the umps usually just get on with the game.

I think Barry Hall will be out for at least 6 weeks, and wouldn't be surprised if it was 8 weeks or even more

That would make a total of 16 weeks min if that goes ahead.

12 weeks for king hit and another 4 for the jumper punch.

I know a jumper punch is usually not worth 4 weeks, but this on top of his prior record should give this a high suspension.

I guess so, he did jumper punch him, don't get why players get away with this, if they stick to the definition of a punch, then i suppose he should be charged.

While I do not condone the actions by Barry Hall I have to feel sympathy for him. Week after week he has to deal with oppenents hanging off him, spoiling him illegally with no help from the men in white. He is continually infringed upon. Any other player would be free kicked. The men in white here are responsible for Hall's brain snap.

As for Waters, when you approach someone in a threatening manner you should expect to be able to protect yourself. If you can't then don't be there. He deserved what he got.

being a swans supporter i am still very dissapointed in barry. The waters one wasnt as bad, but i never knew he came off with a cut lip. I think he shouldnt get charged with the waters one. just get 4-6 for the staker one.
