Everyone in snooker is in 100% agreement that the Welsh Open has been an outstanding success. However the demise of one man, a hero of the baize, Barry Pinches has over shadowed everything. It is thought that Pinches exit from the completion has cost the organisers untold amounts in lost revenue in terms of merchandise and tickets which weren’t snapped up by Pinches trademark travelling army of fans.
