Manchester City midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 or the way the manager has been tinkering about with his tactics this season.
So far this season, the Italian manager has gone on to shift things around time and time again. These shifts haven’t always played out in the team’s favour and as a result, the manager has been criticised time and time again.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Micah-Richards-c25259 is one of the players who lashed out at the manager, following City’s three goals to one loss against Ajax in the Champions League.
In that game, Mancini opted to use a 3 – 5 – 2 formation, despite the team not having practiced with that set up previously.
However, Barry doesn’t really see what the problem is, and he feels that the players need to respect the manager and his decisions a whole lot more.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international and City midfielder is reported to have said:
"I missed the whole pre-season with my operation"
"The lads said they worked on three at the back, as the manager wanted it as a Plan B.”
“The players didn't seem to be overly-confident playing it.”
“If the manager wants to go with it you have to do your best and respect it.”
Barry also went on to applaud Edin Dzeko and the fine goal scoring form that he has been displaying in recent weeks. However, the player feels that the manager almost always brings the player on when he knows he will have an impact on the game.
As a result, Barry suggested that no one really looks at the positive impact that Mancini’s tactical substitutions have had on the team, since everyone is more focused on pointing out the negatives instead.
"At the other end of the scale he made an attacking decision at West Brom and Edin Dzeko came on and scored two goals,” Barry continued.
“Those things don't get spoken about.”
“You expect these things to come out when things go badly but we just have to stick together and go forward. We started that on Saturday with a clean sheet and three points."
It is now going to be interesting to see just how Mancini goes about his business, and whether he helps the team win big this season or not.
