I was a massive fan of the clones cyclone barry mcguigan but this would have been one h**l of a fight ..... they were both all action fighters but i can just see mcguigan sneaking a split decision after 15 pulsating rounds by just being the busier of the two but it would be a see saw battle with fenech coming close to stopping mcguigan but barry coming through those tough moments and be on the brink of stopping fenech when the final bell rings

This would have been a close fight and is a tough one to give an answer too.  McGuigan 32-3-0 (28) was a very hard puncher and he always came to fight.  Fenech 28-3-1(21) was a hard puncher too though probably not quite as hard a puncher as McGuigan.  I think Fenech has the better handspeed and boxing technique.  This would be a fast paced fight with a lot of hard exchanges round after round with both men giving and taking a lot of punishment.  McGuigan would have a little more in his tank near the end of the fight with Fenech barely able to hang on at the end.  15 round unanimous decision for McGuigan in a great fight.
