Barry or Alonso (For Arsenal)....?

id probably say Alonso because i think fabregas would play better along side his Spanish counter part. As they are already friends ect...

On the other hand barry could be good as he would bring more leadership and atm arsenal dont have another outstanding leader.

he has more experience and talent look at the 2 goals he scored for Spain recently i think also he has a shot that he does not use often, he also has a better vision for the game he would be my choice over Barry any day.

He is a proven player at all levels - club, European and international level, whereas barry is still to prove himself completely. His performance in the first two EPL matches have also not been that great, which can be attributed to his disappointment, but then the result is poor performance.

Besides, i agree that alonso and fabregas together would be a good combination.

Any of them would be brilliant please, but it doesn't look like we are going to get one of them sadly.

Fabregas and Alonso both Spanish so you'd expect great partnership.

Barry's an excellent player anyway so they'd need another leader, who can really get the team togther, which I don't feel Gallas does at all times. :]

Alonso. Can you imagine two of the world best passer plays together in the central midfield. Alonso will focus on long pass and Fabregas on short passes.

I'm a liverpool fan so I don't want Arsenal to get Alonso. But i do have a soft spot for arsenal and i wanted them to win the premiership last season when liverpool wasnt a title conteder so barry wouldnt be bad for them. I would pick Alonso over Barry at any day brcause Alonso has a killer pass and he protects the ball (He actually fits into the Arsenal type of play) BUT barry is more consistent and is a great leader that arsenal clearly lacks.
