  1. Hi, the second of May is the day of the rising of the people of Madrid against the french troops of Napoleon. Hence the neighbourhood around the plaza del 2 de Mayo, with the image of Daoiz and Velarde presiding becomes a fiesta. That area thats is between c/San Bernardo c/Tribunal c/ Hortaleza almost up to Chueca has fiestas. There are many, many bars in the area near Luchana district, and there are Mexican bars - restaurants there too. There will be fiestas in the Plaza del 2 de Mayo, with concerts, outside dancing and massive partying during that time, less some fascist politician decides to restrict them and then there will be even more fun. The plaza is one of the areas where "la movida madrileña" started and is one of the aeas with more bars per square meter. Speacially clubs, night bars, pubs, and regular bars.

    Best regards
