1. I have been bar tending and waiting tables for 10 years now, I all of those things will come in time, just remember to keep on smiling. Some people have no respect for the ones who are bring them their food, and you are the last one to touch it. I think that everyone should have to be a server to understand what we actually deal with working in the public.

  2. cc tips: usually the credit card machine or cash register will keep track of all the tips you enter and then your boss gives you the cash at the end of the night when you count your drawer.

keeping tabs: the computer you enter the orders in will keep track of the cc's. usually you swipe the card and type in a description of the guest ("cubs hat" or "pink halter top") so you know which tab belongs to which guest.

no restaurant/bar would turn a new employee loose on the bar without adequate training. there's a lot of money to be made and lost pouring drinks and keeping tabs & the managers will ensure you get the proper training. Good luck!

  3. There's no need to be worried, your boss will show you what to do and it will all be fine

  4. ur boss will prolly show you...

  5. When someone uses a credit card and you give them the receipt to sign they can add a tip on it. The at the end of the night you adjust for tips. Im sure during your training they will teach you how.
